Needle-free vaccination for Sementis’ SCV Based Vaccines

Sementis is collaborating with Enesi Pharma, an innovative company based in Oxford, UK, to develop and evaluate their solid dose vaccination technology with Sementis’ SCV based vaccines. Enesi Pharma’s proprietary needle-free solid dose implant device ImplaVax®, is a handheld spring-powered applicator with a separate, disposable cassette pre-loaded with a single solid Universal Vaccine Implant (UVI) containing the vaccine. The vaccine is delivered simply by inserting the pre-loaded cassette into the applicator and pressing the device against the skin with enough down pressure to instantly deliver the UVI through the skin and directly into the subcutaneous tissue without the need for needles. The UVI is designed to dissolve under the skin slowly releasing the vaccine overtime.
