Dr Tamara Cooper

BSc (Hons), PhD Lead Scientist – SCV Vaccine Platform

Dr Tamara Cooper is a senior molecular and cell biologist with more than ten years of experience translating vaccine technologies into clinical solutions. She earned her Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) from Flinders University and her PhD at the University of Adelaide with CSIRO. Since 2012, she has worked at Adelaide University bridging academic and industry research.

A key scientific architect of the Sementis Copenhagen Vector (SCV) platform, Dr Cooper has led viral vector engineering, manufacturing cell‑line development, assay development, and CMC strategy for SCV vaccines. Her work has supported clinical readiness and patent development for viral vector manufacture and recovery.

As Lead Scientist, she has advanced SCV vaccines for infectious diseases and allergy immunotherapies, supporting GLP and GMP cell banks and virus seed stocks. She continues to drive scalable, regulator‑ready vaccine design for SCV‑PHAV and the broader pipeline.
